Sitting at breakfast Sunday morning before we started our day skiing down the mountain, I noticed Brandon not eating his food. This didn’t faze me as we went out the night before and I just figured he kept going to the bathroom because his belly was a little upset. Little did I know… Continue reading

Did You Check In?
So one random day in the middle of January I got an email from Brandon saying “Well, I just bought us two plane tickets to L.A.”. He said it just like it was a normal thing to do! I got on the phone and talked to Robin and everything worked out just fantasticly! We had such a great trip and I would even categorize it as one of the best trips the two of us have taken together.
We went to so many great places, first being the Griddle. Lauren recommended it for breakfast and said it was famous. Seeing as how my mission was to see famous people all weekend, I jumped on that recommendation real fast. We are talking pancakes the size of my head here people! It was awesome! Weird thing though, we were there eating breakfast at 10:30ish and it was packed! What do these people do! Why aren’t you at work!
We did tons of things including the L.A. Arboretum (yes there is such a place), Santa Anita Race Track, In and Out Burger, beach, new sunglasses (RED!), and tons of bars. To top it all off the last night we were there we went to the Staples Center for an NBA game. It was a Clippers vs Celtics game and it was so great! Needless to say we checked in EVERYWHERE on 4square and got tons of new points and badges! (yes, we are tools)
Without me knowing, Brandon bought courtside tickets and we sat behind the Clippers bench. Blake Griffin (or as Stahr calls him, the man child) was seriously in front of me. Paul Pierce was there which was awesome. I tried yelling Rock Chalk and he didn’t hear me
Next to us on the court was some famous poker guy. Brandon was so excited and got his picture with him. I guess he had like $100,00 bet on the game and he was freaking out at the end. Pat Sajak was right in front of us. He was kind of rude but everyone was yelling “Put in Sajak!” And Billy Crystal was across the court from us. He just chilled the whole time- we were amongst the stars! Check out all the pics!
After the game we proceeded to drink the TALL beers at the Yard House with Robin, Brad, Katie, and Andy! Sushi in California is the bomb by the way!
Anyways, we got to spend a lot of time together, just the two of us. We loved seeing our friends and getting to rendez-vous in California, but it was nice to get away from the snow storms and just relax.
